Find theromantasyin your Tuesday.

Not quite a journal. Not quite a novel.

A fantasy novel that writes itself around your real life. You text about your day. Lorbo turns it into a chapter overnight. A few months later, it’s a bound book on your shelf.

How Lorbo works

You text the day. Wake up in tomorrow’s chapter.

Tonight

Text Lorbo. Don't journal.

A few minutes of texting.
Skip days without losing your place.

Morning

Read what your day became.

A chapter of a novel that’s only yours.
Made from what you texted last night.

The story can’t continue without you.

Questions? Good. Here are answers.

Both, actually — and the split is the whole point.

The story arc is handwritten by a human author: the world, the characters, the voice, the major beats. AI’s job is the weaving — taking what you texted today and threading it into that pre-authored narrative, in the right place, in the right voice. Alongside the fantasy chapter, AI also writes a plain autobiographical entry — faithful to what actually happened, not the fantasy version.

ChatGPT generates everything from scratch every time. It has no author, no world, no continuity. Lorbo has all three.

You don’t write prompts. You text about your day. You get one ongoing fantasy novel — and one ongoing plain journal — both grown around what you said.

No. Your texts are used only to write your own chapters and journal entries. Nothing you send to Lorbo is used to train AI models — ours or anyone else’s.

SMS, or the web chat inside the reader. No app to install. Either way, your texts go to the same conversation and feed into the same chapters.

No. Lorbo lives in your text messages and on the web. No app to download, no updates, no notifications nagging you to journal. That’s by design.

Not during the alpha — Lorbo is US-only for now. Depending on interest, we may expand beyond the US after launch.

Romantasy is available during the alpha. The others — including Gothic Horror, epic fantasy, dark academia, cozy fantasy, and urban fantasy — will come later as we open up to more readers.

Real people in your life become fictional characters with new names and reshaped details. Your sister isn’t “my sister” in the chapter — she might be a courtier, or a smuggler, or whatever the story turns her into. Whoever she becomes, she stays that character across the book.

The book is yours alone — the only copy in the world. If you’d rather something stayed out of a chapter, tell Lorbo and it will. Closer to keeping a diary than publishing a memoir.

You don’t lose what you’ve written. You can download every chapter and journal entry at any time, as Markdown or ePub — the export lives inside the reader. If you cancel, your archive stays preserved for as long as Lorbo exists.

Why I built it

I always wanted to keep a journal. I never stuck with one. The blank page asked the same question every night, and the apps lived on screens I never opened.

But a text, I always answer. A story I'm hooked on, I always come back to.

Lorbo is the journal I finally couldn't put down.
