Lorbo is an AI journaling app you keep by text. Users SMS Lorbo about their day. The next morning, they wake up to a plain journal entry and, if they want, a chapter of an ongoing fantasy novel. Romantasy is the only subgenre at launch. More subgenres open up after.
A human author wrote the novel's arc and voice in advance. AI's job is to thread the user's real life into that narrative. Lorbo is built by a small team in Oregon, operating as DEFRICTION LLC. The product is in private alpha as of May 2026.
