Security & privacy

Lorbo is a journal. The things you tell it are private by default. Here's how we handle them, in plain language.

We don't train AI on your writing

Your texts are used only to write your own journal entries and fantasy chapters. Nothing you send to Lorbo gets used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. We don't sell, rent, or share your conversation data with advertisers or data brokers.

Real people become fictional characters

When you mention someone in your life, they appear in the fantasy chapter as a fictional character with a new name and reshaped details. Your sister isn't "my sister" in the chapter. She might be a courtier or a smuggler or a heroine's rival. Whoever she becomes, she stays that character across the book.

The book is yours alone. It's the only copy in the world. If you'd rather something stayed out of a chapter, tell Lorbo and it will.

Your archive is yours

You can export every chapter and journal entry at any time, as Markdown or ePub. The export lives inside the reader. If you cancel, your archive stays available for as long as Lorbo exists. We don't hold your writing hostage to keep you subscribed.

How we store your data

Conversations and journal entries are stored in Supabase, with Postgres encryption at rest. Access is limited to Lorbo's technical operators. We keep entries as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable window after cancellation so you can recover them.

SMS specifics

Lorbo's SMS service is operated through Telnyx. Messages between you and Lorbo are stored alongside the rest of your journal. We don't share phone numbers or message content with advertisers. Full disclosures live on the SMS consent documentation page.
